PLANT MEDICINE INTEGRATION

The experience of plant medicine can be profound in many ways. Both the plant medicine itself as well as the ceremonial context may expose you to complex thoughts, feelings, memories, sensations and perspectives that could benefit from further exploration with a trained therapist.

Whether you have gained insights you’d like to process or need to work through difficult feelings that have been released, talking therapy can be an important space for further work.

I offer Plant Medicine Integration sessions to help you to make sense of, process, and learn from your experiences, as well as to integrate them into your life to create lasting change.

My Approach

Plant Medicine Integration therapy can be done as a time-limited set of 6 sessions where we focus specifically on processing your experiences, or as part of a longer piece of work in which we consider how to work with what you have learned at a deeper level, considering your past and the way you’d like to move forward with your life.

I have undertaken training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and this continues to be a focus of my CPD. I am particularly interested in the clinical research that is taking place worldwide into the therapeutic benefits of plant medicines and psychedelics, which show that psychedelic assisted therapies can be highly effective in treating various conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and substance use disorders, and that in some cases the benefits may last for years beyond treatment.

My experience of Plant Medicines

I have experienced different plant medicines (including Rape, Ayahuasca and Psylocibin) in Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Overall my experiences have enriched my life, helped me to process past trauma and difficult emotions, and highlighted areas of my psyche that need more attention.

The journey hasn’t always been smooth and I have become aware of how vitally important it can be to have a space to talk through what has been experienced.
